eclypse
About Us
eclypse have steadily built a loyal fan base, gaining a huge reputation from their dynamic performances.
Our set includes a smooth and polished blend of covers and originals. Fusing Blues/Rock classics from Pink Floyd, Guns n' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin and other giants of Rock with hi-energy Dance classics from Chaka Khan, Anastacia, Scissor Sisters and more....
......and of course - we'll be highlighting tracks from "Something to Believe in..."
People often ask us about our influences.....
Musical: see above - if we love it, we play it....For Pete, it's about a love of the blues - Peter Green, BB, Paul Kossoff, David Gilmour (yes, really....), Slowhand (when he's on form and not on autopilot...), Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa....For Sarah, it's about sheer vocal power.....Anastacia, Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Beverley Knight, Axl Rose....
Life: Family, hatred of injustice, love of a good Chinese meal, wine, Chislehurst caves and of course Route 38.....
eclypse are:
Sarah (vocals) Pete (guitars, vocals)
But there's more......
For the album, we wanted an ‘organic’ approach to recording, so instead of drum machines and bass loops, we asked Chris Oakes (drums) and Cliff Davis (bass) for their help.
Whilst Sarah and I will focus on our regular gigs, for our showcase gigs throughout the next year, we'll be going out as a 4-piece band - a 'total' eclypse!!!
